SOUTH AFRICA

Updated: May 19, 2020

What a beautiful place. Many people say it may not be the safest place, however when I was here I felt perfectly fine. In Cape Town there is so many amazing places to visit, theres sand dunes where you can go quad biking and sand boarding. You can visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was jailed, and have a tour from one of his inmates which gives insight information to the living conditions there. You can Shark Dive, Whale Watch, visit winery's and go to the top of Table mountain.

The scariest part of this trip was the beaches stating that there was no guns aloud on the beach, no what you see in Britain! However at no point did I feel unsafe.

I stayed at Camps Bay Hotel, a very small hotel, which actually had Mark Wright staying in at the time! This was a very different experience as I would be sunbathing and have paparazzi 20 metres away.

After Cape Town, I moved onto Johannesburg, Limpopo National Park. This was for a Safari at the Cliff Top Safari Exclusive Hide away, however if you're looking for a cheaper option, which is more commercial, look for the Cougar National Park. This Hideaway was an experience to remember. A log cabin located in the middle of a Game Reserve full of wild animal. A private pool, and the most beautiful interior you could imagine. There was no wifi or signal, the only communication was a phone in your cabin incase a wild animal came near and you didn't feel safe when walking across to the main facility.

The schedule for the three days we stayed was a morning drive at 5:30am and then an evening drive at 4pm. These drives were three hours each. This was repeated for three days. We shared a car with two other families.
