Colorado, the skiing location of America. This trip was completed on a school trip in March. When travelling to Colorado from England, and probably many other locations its important to stay in Denver for a while, as its known as the high city so its takes time to adjust to the altitude. On arrival you may think this is crazy, however we spent 3 days in Denver, before taking the bus in the Winter Park, Colorado. 40 students went and on the first and second day, only half of these students made it skiing and so many were sick. This happened to especially be beginners, so take extra precautions if this is you. Some students didn't make it to a full days skiing till the last day.
As for the location, its breath taking, with a variety of exciting activities to take part in outside of the resort. Activities which we took part in were: Husky racing, Horse drawn carriage, tubing and ice skating.
On resort there are so many areas which you can ski down with a variety of: half pipes, parks, moguls and steep slopes. Mountains can take half a day to get down, and a variety of different routes fit for all abilities. Don't get ahead of yourselves on these routes, take your time to progress your ability as while there, a girl died from having no control on the moguls. Never take a risk.
